In many ways the support race was just as impressive. The overall honours went to Jake Frame (Junior) with Paula Newland second (Ladies) and Rod Hawkins third (Seniors). So all categories and ages going head to head. For the first time the under 12 and under 14 category braved the cold in the first Brit Kids A and B race. Charlie Cox was the eventual winner in Brit Kids B from Thomas Smith 2nd, while Grace Cox took the honours in Brit Kids A.

Lyme Regis - Round 1 - 8th May
The highly anticipated start to the 2010 season did not fail to dissapoint. The main race provided some impressive performances by an ever growing F2 field. The ever popular formula has seen some young and not so young arrivals this season. The conditions were cold and breezy. This idealic South Coast venue provided cover from a strong North Easterly wind, which made the seaward leg of the course rather testing at times for the skiers, while the shoreward side provided the onlooking spectators with some quick and close racing. Daryl Tyndall made the early running for the lead, with last years top three finishers closely following. Unfortunately for Daryl, a loose binding causing him to pull up, and his eventual 7th place in the race did not reflect on his early efforts. There was a race long dual for 2nd and 3rd place, this time Jack Lynch just managed to pip Kurt Brooks, while Richard Kirk took pole. Adam Murfet took a good 4th place in his first race in the formula followed by Will Newland in 5th. If this race is anything to go by, this seasons racing between all the F2 competitors is going to be thrilling.
Darren Kirkland again did what Darren does best and showed us all why he has been a World Class competitor in formula 1 for so many years, by lapping the field all the way to 3rd place overall behind Steve Cox' formula 2 rig! Jamie Cramphorn gave a solid performance after a long spell away from competitive skiing, although he was hindered at the start by his crew taking a pleasure trip round Lyme Bay when the two flags went up!
